Introduction
‘Now we’re talking’ and its companion resource ‘Before Words’ have both been developed within Surestart Westgate local programme. They have been created by two Speech and Language Therapists - Lynn Jones and Gretel McEwen - and arose from the Surestart focus on early intervention and the promotion of parental understanding.
Both also emphasise the development of relationship and interaction as fundamental to communication and how they underpin social and emotional development in young children.
