Parent-friendly information about communication development in very young children and ways to encourage it
01. What do you think about the information sheets?
(01.a) "The sheets are very informative, with just the right amount of information on them. They are bright and colourful which attracts you to read them".
(01.b) "I think the information sheets are a good idea and the pictures are eye catching and will be usefull to first time mums and dads".
(01.c) "It is colourful and draws your attention to it which in turn makes you want to read it. The pictures and information are very good".
02. How easy are they to read?
(02.a) "They are very easy to read and it is helpful that the same format is used for each."
(02.b) "Quite easy, the language is not to complicated and it is worded very well".
03. In what ways do you find Before words useful?
(03.a) "It is a good reminder that babies need quite time too. Reassuring to parents that babies still learn and can enjoy themselves whilst parents do everyday jobs around the house".
(03.b) "The advice was very useful especially for people expecting their first child. Bonding with your baby is very important and this leaflet shows that by even talking to your baby at 0-3 months it will respond".
(03.c) "Makes you more aware of different ways babies interact, so hopefully will be more responsive to baby".
04. Any other comments about Before words?
(04.a) "I like the way both white and ethnic origin families have been included".
(04.b) "As a first time mother I found the information sheets very usefu and interesting as it has gave me a better idea how to communicate with my baby".
